John Galloway

John Galloway is Head of Land & Property for the renewable energy company Ørsted in the UK region. He joined Ørsted in 2019 following a career as a qualified real estate solicitor, advising energy and infrastructure developers across the country on design, development, portfolio management, M&A transactions and new NSIP schemes.

John has experience of acquisition of land and rights by voluntary agreement as well as implementing compulsory powers authorised under the Planning Act, Transport and Works Act and Electricity Act. He has advised developers on most of the UK’s operational offshore wind farms, and their onshore transmission assets, over the past ten years as well as consent applications for oil and gas pipelines and storage, theme parks, highways, railways, London Underground and airport expansion projects.
